Big statement, but compare the facts.
More Force - 950 grams. Most large format cutters have a force of 500 grams. With the MAXX you can cut chipboard in one pass. We have cut 650 gsm mat board, with our standard thick media blade. A new special sliver blade will mean even better results
Laser Alignment - Important for faster print and cut alignment
Smoother, Faster, Quieter Operation
Aggressive Grit Rollers - Cleaner and more intricate cuts
Ability to Hold Larger Pens and Markers
3 pinch rollers - These aid in firmly holding your media during cutting.
New large extra thick gridded mat - A mighty cutter deserves a mighty large mat. At approx. 14"x 24" you have enough "real estate" to cut your largest cardstock.
New Improved Software - The new Supersize feature in the software improves auto-tracing of small images (such as Internet graphics) and creates ready-to-cut shapes. With dozens of other design and editing features, this is one of the most powerful vector programs for paper crafters on the market.
Software recognises and cuts more file types than any cutter currently on the market - Including most Craft ROBO GSD files -dependant on how they were initially created. Also included in our package is the Skat Katz Point Pusher program, that will convert any remaining Craft ROBO files that were not able to be opened by KNK Studio.
Repeat Function - Press this button
on the machine allowing you to repeat the same cut without having to send it through the computer the second, third or more times.
Flatbed Tables (option) - Allows for smooth movement of the carrier sheet as it moves backwards and forwards, giving cleaner, more consistent cuts over cutters without this feature.
Unlimited cutting lengths - The MAXX also accepts roll media. I have 2 customers who purchased the original KNK for scrapbooking, but because of the vinyl cutting features, they started cutting stickers and signs for friends cars and retail shops, they both now have a nice little money earner. This was achieved because they weren't locked into the limited use of other cutters; adding to the MAXX's versatility.
Optional rotary engraver - coming soon.
Support - The MAXX comes with a 35 minute DVD showing cutter set up and software use. On the DVD, there are a number of tutorials displaying how to use the powerful software features to create your very own unique die-cuts. We understand support is important, Skat Katz offers free phone support to help you when you hit the occasional bump in the learning road. Also available is the official Klic N Kut User Forum, set up by the manufacturers of the Klic N Kut. As the Klic N Kut cutters were the first to offer 12" cutting for scrapbooking, there are some very active Yahoo groups specifically for the Klic N Kut machines. So support for the cutters is available 24/7.
The Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde of the cutter world!
You can be forgiven in thinking that the MAXX has a split personality.
In one instance it can carefully cut tiny detailed images, like the one on the left.
Next replace the paper with mat board or chipboard and increase the blade length to give your cutter a personality facelift! Because of the 950 grams of pressure you also have the ability to cut metal foils.
Using our exclusive stamp material you can simply cut your shape out, and place it directly onto an acrylic block. this is a one step process - no preparation required, just cut and stamp.
With the KNK embossing tool you can emboss metal, vellum, foil, suede paper and more.
Fancy some engraving? Just replace the blade with the specially designed engraving tip and you can engrave directly onto metals perspex and clear acrylics. A newly designed rotary engraver attachment will also be release soon.

Cutting fabric for quilting can be achieved by using a stabiliser such as vilene. Iron the vilene to your fabric, then place your fabric onto the carrier sheet and cut. A special blade designed for fabric is available. Imagine cutting out your unique fabric designs.
The MAXX allows you to replace the blade holder with a thick marker or gel pen, no other tool is necessary. Why not scan in your child's handwriting and with the pen, add a beautiful written embellishment to the page. Don't limit the pens/markers to handwriting, any of the designs that you can cut you can now draw.
I already mentioned vinyl, but how about t-shirt iron-on vinyl. Cut your design and simply iron on to a t-shirt or fabric.
We have also cut 1 mm Magnetic sheets quite easily with the MAXX.
The combination of speed, force and blade/tool holder allows the MAXX to be used in a variety of settings and cutting situations; making it an ideal tool for the creative person that you are.
