Skat Katz together with A Scrappe Angels Heaven are organising an arts retreat to Vietnam in May 2010.

The retreat will possibly hold classes in
scrapbooking
card making
jewellery making
photography
Classes will depend on preferences and demand.

Lucy Muraca from Skat Katz will be your guide and organiser, so for those who haven't been to Vietnam, you will be in capable hands. I have been to Vietnam several times and am truly enchanted by the scenery and the lovely people. I recently got back from there after organising a trip for
six women. I became their guide,and they truly loved the experience that I brought to their trip, and were able to enjoy it without stress. There was much laughter and fun had by all.

I also found time to scrapbook myself everyday. In the most peaceful, lush and scenic surrounds imaginable. On returning home, I thought, "Im sure other scrapbookers would love this experience also" So, here I am organising this retreat to Vietnam. Woo Hoo!

Cindy Porter from A Scrappe Angels Heaven will be your teacher and instructor on the retreat. She is a very talented teacher who imparts her talents with much humour and fun. Cindy is a Certified Ranger Instructor,
who has taken classes with Tim Holtz so is more than skilled in this area. She is also a professional photograper.
Her store, A Scrappe Angels Heaven, has also won the SIA Retailer of the Year Award in both 2008 and 2009.
Cindy is one of the nicest (and patient) people that I have personally met, and has taught me so much, and brings out the best possible crafter in people.

At the moment we are collecting information and interest from people. All further information will be passed on as soon as organised.
We are hoping to include several things in the retreat, including:
classes everyday,
a cyclo ride (similar to a rickshaw)
sunrise tour to My Son temples
lots of gifts and give aways
I will be taking phots all day, everyday, having them printed at the end of each day , so you will have new photos to work with. Photos that I took are attached for your viewing pleasure, and also the completed book of the photos that I put together on the trip.

The approximate cost of the trip is $2500.00 to $3000.00.
This will include:
air fare and connecting flights from Melbourne
to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), Hoi An, and back to Ho Chi Minh,back to Melbourne
2 nights stay in Ho Chi Minh, hotel to still be decided. (4 star)
4-5 nights stay in Hoi An, Riverside Beach Resort. (4 star)
I have stayed at this boutique hotel twice, and would not stay anywhere else.

There will be other activities that will be optional for you, which may include:
manicure/pedicure
amazing foot massage
cooking classes

Accommodation will be in triple rooms, which trust me, are very roomy and beautiful.
There will be plenty of time to shop for bargains, relax by the pool (even jump in the pool to cool down, and then sit and work in your bathers, I did!).
Time to chat around with sippys (our word for drinks), or coffee and just chill out if thats what you want.
